Phase 1: Stabilization & Shared Language
- Week 1: The Soft Landing. Introductions and establishing group safety. We define our shared language—including the "Spoon Theory" and PBT—and acknowledge the "Medical Narrative" we've all been carrying.
- Week 2: Navigating Medical Trauma. Identifying the psychological impact of diagnoses and clinical experiences. We begin "witnessing" each other's stories to break the cycle of isolation.
Phase 2: Reconnecting with the Self
- Week 3: The Body as Home (Not a Betrayal). Using somatic awareness and mindfulness to gently reconnect with physical sensations without judgment or fear.
- Week 4: Handling the "What-Ifs." Learning Cognitive Defusion—the ability to step back from scary thoughts about the future so they don't dictate your present joy.
Phase 3: Operationalizing Resilience
- Week 5: The Energy Budget (Pacing). A practical session on managing "Spoons." We develop individual frameworks for activity and rest that prioritize your values over your "to-do" list.
- Week 6: Identity Beyond the Diagnosis. Who are you when you aren't a "patient"? We use values-based exercises to reclaim hobbies, roles, and passions that illness may have obscured.
Phase 4: Readiness & Integration
- Week 7: Boundaries & Advocacy. How to communicate your needs to partners, friends, and doctors. We practice scripts for protecting your energy and your peace.
- Week 8: Collective Readiness. Consolidating our toolkit. Each member leaves with a personalized Resilience Roadmap and a community of peers for the journey ahead.
