The 8-Week Collective Readiness Group is a structured, four-phase therapeutic program in San Diego designed for adults managing chronic illnesses. It transitions patients out of medical isolation by teaching shared language (like Spoon Theory), somatic grounding, and cognitive defusion, culminating in a personalized Resilience Roadmap for daily life.
Living with a chronic diagnosis forces you into the full-time job of being a patient. This program is specifically engineered to help you reclaim the rest of your identity.

Our 8-Week Collective Readiness Program is divided into distinct, actionable phases:
Phase 1: Stabilization & Shared Language (Weeks 1-2): We establish a soft landing and define our shared terminology. We actively witness each other’s medical trauma to break the cycle of isolation.
Phase 2: Reconnecting with the Self (Weeks 3-4): We utilize somatic awareness to view the body as a home rather than a betrayal. We practice cognitive defusion to manage the anxious “what-ifs” of the future.
Phase 3: Operationalizing Resilience (Weeks 5-6): We build concrete energy budgets using pacing strategies. We use values-based exercises to reclaim hobbies and passions obscured by your illness.
Phase 4: Readiness & Integration (Weeks 7-8): We practice medical advocacy scripts to protect your boundaries. You graduate with a custom Resilience Roadmap and a dedicated peer community.

Chronic illness is unpredictable. Our groups operate under a strict “Energy Promise.” If you are experiencing a medical flare-up and cannot join with your camera on—or cannot attend live at all—we utilize specialized “gentle catch-up” protocols. This group is built to accommodate your actual life, not a perfect version of it.

Do I have to share my specific diagnosis with the group?
No. You are never required to share your exact medical diagnosis. The curriculum focuses on the shared psychological and energetic impacts of chronic illness, regardless of the specific disease.
What is the Spoon Theory?
Spoon Theory is a metaphor used to explain the limited daily energy reserves (represented by spoons) available to someone with a chronic illness or disability.
Is this group covered by insurance?
We offer extensive Insurance Reimbursement Support to help you submit Superbills to your PPO provider for out-of-network group therapy coverage.
